My friend has just moved to another part of California and it's an hour away. So I say:

I'm probably not going to come then. It's a little too far. Or should it be:

I'm probably not going to go then.

Are both useable or is there a best answer?

I think it depends. If I were talking to the friend who lives far away, I would probably tell the friend that I am not going to come . But if I were talking to a third party about whether I plan to visit that friend, I would say that I am not going to go .
