Your class has watched a documentary about the need for nations to fund space exploration. You have made the notes below:
Advantages of spending public money on space exploration:
countries work together to further our understanding of the universe.

Write an essay discussing TWO of the advantages given for space exploration in your notes. You should explain which advantage is more important, giving reasons in support of your answer.
Anwser:
Space exploration has become an emerging sector over the past decades. It’s for many researchers an opening door to new possibilities and a great source of knowledge. But one of the limitations scientists have to deal with is the lack of public funds to support their investigations. Space exploration should not be seen as wasteful, but as a future investment.
On the first place, an advantage for space exploration is that possible life-suitable planets for human’s civilization could be found. Since natural resources are decaying, the planet is incapable to hold such a fast increase of world’s population. An equitable distribution of food supply will stop being viable for ecological reasons. That’s why it is necessary to find a place for a new start: a planet able to support our non-stopping technological progress.
Nevertheless, that could never be achieved without a deeper understanding of outer space. Knowledge is an advantage in itself and so satisfying human’s natural curiosity should be reason enough to invest on space exploration.
Moreover, it is a good excuse to unite governments for a common cause. Authorities could come to an agreement to put at public disposal all the recollected data. Every country would benefit from the discoveries found and use the results in their own ground.
In conclusion, I think the main priority must be given to the search of new living space for the world’s growing population because it will soon become a real necessity. Although it might sound alarming, measures must be taken before Earth runs out of natural resources.
