CAE Review task

Hello, guys. This year I will be sitting the CAE exam and I'm currently working on improving my writing skills as much as possible. I've written this review and it would be great if you could just take a look and give me some feedback, regardless of whether or not it's a compliment or criticism! Emotion: smile If you could also put a mark on the piece, I would appreciate it Emotion: smile Thank you in advance!!!

· An international magazine regularly features a page of book reviews written by magazine readers. You decide to contribute to the column. Write a review of a book you have read, saying why you did or did not enjoy it and whether or not you would recommend it to others.

I’ve never been to Bologna before, but novelist John Grisham made me feel as if I had been there during the time when former Washington power broker Joel Backman had just got out of prison and was starting a new chapter in his already miserable life. “The Broker” has all the right ingredients of suspense, drama and even a bit of satire that will keep you turning the pages until the very end.

After spending the last six years of his life hidden away in a federal prison, Joel Backman, a former notorious power Broker from Washington, is released after being granted a controversial last-minute pardon by the outgoing President. In hopes of a new and better life, Backman is quietly smuggled out of the country in a military cargo plane. What he doesn’t know that this is all a plan, hatched by the soon to be former CIA director Teddy Maynard. After Backman settles into his new life, his problems begin occurring. The truth is that the CIA needs one very important question answered, but it can’t do it without Backman as bate. Soon, he will have to go against the odds and try to survive against some of the top assassins in the world…somehow.

In addition to the mesmerizing plot and the many unexpected twists and turns, Grisham’s meticulous attention to detail makes this book a terrific read.

If somebody wants my help finding an amazingly complex and overall great book, this one would be my first recommendation!

Book titles should not be put within quotation marks; they should be italicized or underlined. So go 'LOL" yourself.
