Nowadays, the environmental issues have become the hottest topic among our society. Even though many governments around the world have been pouring money, trying to find a solution, it does not seem that the vast majority of people even realize the sheer scale of these growing problems. What is more, the ones who are fully aware of what we are up against, do not feel the slightest urge to try and help prevent such social repercussions from happening.
Global warming is without a doubt the biggest challenge our society is faced with. It has already lead to significant changes to the world's physical environment. Due to the rapid increase in temperature, glaciers and icebergs have begun to melt, thus making extreme weather events, such as tsunamis, a lot more frequent. By simply taking a walk instead of driving, we can dramatically decrease the amount of unwanted carbon emissions we would normally let out into the air.
Sadly, climate change is not our only concern. Energy conservation is also an issue that scientist are still poring over. Although work on finding renewable energy sources has already started, there hasn't been a major breakthrough in that field for quite some time now and we have to make do with what we have. That is why we should not forget to always turn off the lights when we don't need them!
To sum up, these are all major problems, but I am sure that we still have time to correct our wrongs and make a difference for many future generations to come.
