Cabin thinker

Hi,

Does anyone know if 'cabin thinker' is an acceptable way to refer to someone who is petty-minded, narrow-minded or parochial?

I heard someone use it yesterday, but it may have been a Dutchism (hokjesdenker).

Is there perhaps another way to refer to these kind of people? Preferably using a noun?

Thank you for your help! :-)

The only two-word phrase with cabin I know of is "cabin fever." These days, it's called Seasonal Affective Disorder ( SAD). This is one case where the acronym of the medical term describes the symptoms.

Thank you all. 'Cabin thinker' sounded too good to be true, haha. To a native ear it must probably sound like a philosopher who locks himself up to ponder for a bit and then has an epiphany...'
