"By this time" or ''by then"

Hello everyone!

I have a question concerning the usage of ''by this time." Can we say:

"Call me at 9. By this time, I will have finished doing my homework."

or should we say:

"Call me at 9. I will have finished doing my homework by then."

And can we use ''by then'' at the very beginning of the second sentence?
"By then, I will have finished doing my homework."
