I've encountered with this expression while reading the following conversation:

- You make a mistake sorcerer. One you will regret!
- By the Mists! She stares at the ice bridge and it shatters!

What does it mean here?

Edit: I found the word mists mentioned again here:

- He falls, plunging twoards the icy mists ...

I don't know if the meaning is different between them according to the context. Can someone confirm this.
