Hi,

A friend of mine wrote in email,"I keep you remember in my prayers all the time..by name and by person."

What does it mean by name and by person,I can understand by name like along with my name but I didn't get the 2nd expression"by person".

Yes.You are absolutely right Clive,my friend is not a native speaker.But your reply was very much helpful for me as I got the sense of these words,perhaps its regarding with the imagination of a person when its "by person".
