Hi,

please can I know if there is a difference for the the use of:

"By my own" and "By myself"

The context is:

I did it by my.......

"By my own," is not a common phrase- I think you might be referring to, "on my own."

If that is the case, then they are pretty much interchangeable.

"I did it on my own/ by myself."

This would mean you did it alone.

Hi, I'm french and learn English at school.
My opinion is that there is a difference between on my own and by myself. For example:
I made this cake by myself and I've learned English on my own. Is that could be correct ?

That is correct, but you could also write this:
I made this cake on my own and I've learned English by myself.

I sense no significance difference between the two phrases.
