buzz

Hi,

Could someone please explain what 'the great buzz their company is getting' means in the sentence?

"She calls him to tell him about the great buzz their company is getting."

Thanks a lot.

I should save this one for Nona. "Buzz" is what people are saying about you. If you're company is geting great buzz, it means that people, and probably the media too, are talking about (or writing articles about) them, and they are getting great publicity.
