Hello, Can you help me? the following sentence did not sound natural to me. Do you think it is correct?

"Butter and chocolate are all fats".

I am not a chemist or a nutritionist; I am just a wannabe grammarian. So grammatically, the original is very confusing. Try this:

Butter and chocolate are all fat-- but I would still opt for 'pure' or '100%'.

Ditto! I think we can agree butteris fat, chocolate itself is not but the sugar, cocoa butter in making chocolate is. So if we want to be absolutely correct, it should be " Butter and chocolate are both fattening ".
