But vs. Than?

(1) "Nobody can do it better than you." --- This sentence ought to be grammatically correct with the use of than, when comparing.

(2) "Nobody can do it better but you." --- In this case, but is wrong used, isn't it? As we cannot use it for comparing.

(4) "Harry had no choice but to leave Hagrid."

(5) "Harry had no choice than to leave Hagrid."

But what about this pair of sentences?
