But it's not that/But that's not it

A: I think I did something stupid. I kissed Jack.

B: What?

A: Yeah, but it's not that/that's not it. I told it to Brian and now he doesn't want to talk to me.


Which one of 'but it's not that' and 'but that's not it' seems natural here?

They seem ther same to me except that "not that" is more logical, and "not it" can mean other things, like "that's not all".
