Is the following paragraph correct?

Yes, I could have asked you directly. But I thought you are already a busy lady answering many posts everyday, therefore I posted that question in the forums for other members. Sorry, if I have offended you. Next time, I will be careful.

Hi,

Yes, it is, although 'therefore' is commonly used as a conjunction. But if I wanted to write more carefully, I'd use 'so'.

If this sentence starts with 'therefore', I'd follow it with a comma.

Yoong LiatIs it correct if I split the original sentence into two and them rephrased as above?

Hi Y. Liat,

Couldn't rephrase be used in the place of rephrased in the above sentence? Why are you using past participle?

Hi Y. Liat,

Couldn't rephrase be used in the place of rephrased in the above sentence? Why are you using past participle? No, I used the simple past, not past participle. Yes, 'rephrase' can be used.
