The children want to play outside but it's raining.
I saw the above sentence in the YouTube video about the conjunctions "but".
It says the two ideas are opposing.
How two ideas are opposing in the context?
I learn that but is used to connect a negative and positive ideas.
For example, I want to become a teacher but I can't afford the fees.
