bust one's balls

Hi, there

I'd like to know what "bust one's balls" means.

Does this have the meaning of "to annoy someone by rebuking repeatedly"?

Thank you.

Hi, This is an expression that has a number of meanings that are rather general in nature, and dependent on the context. eg to annoy someone by rebuking repeatedly as you suggest for a woman to do the above to a man, thus figuratively emasculating him, reducing his masculinity, perhaps by weakening his confidence through constant criticism to work hard I'm busting my ***** trying to learn English grammar Please note this is a very informal and slang-y expression, not to be used in situations where politeness is required. Another expression, perhaps a little less offensive: break one's **** to do something.
