Letter Writing
Business Self Introduction Letter - 91011
Hi,
I need help with writing a brief intro letter to my new boss who I'll be working with, on a new project. Here's my attempt, please suggest any changes which makes it a bit elegant and professional if possible.

Dear Mr. Bill,
I'm Jill, class of xyz1, and am very excited to be part of your team on the xyz2 project. I've very recently completed one year in the firm and been part of project xyz3 which had successful go-live a week ago, and internal project xyz4.
I did my graduation from xyz5 in xyz6 discipline, class of xyz7, and still am part of the college serving as alumni association secretary. I would also like to mention the fact that I enjoy solving puzzles, rock climbing and reading books. I feel I am adequately skilled to adapt to the given context in no time.
I'm really excited to be on board with your team and quite confident the it'll help me towards my growth in this firm and very much looking forward to working with you.

Hi, It's hard to respond properly, because in the culture here in Canada we don't normally write such letters. Are they a normal part of your culture? Do you usually include personal details, like hobbies?

It's a bit weird really. Boss asked set of new recruits to write a mail introducing ourselves, which should include personal interests, past work experience if any and stuff. Any set of guidelines, fillers, structure and closing lines etc will help. Thanks for your help Clive.
