Hi, The possessive form of business is business's . However, I don't think that's the heart of the problem. I'm guessing this is what you want: vital to every business (in order) to function properly .

The possessive form of business is business's.

However, I don't think that's the heart of the problem.

I'm guessing this is what you want: vital to every business (in order) to function properly.

This can only be part of a sentence, of course.
