Business letter writing

A letter closed with instead of cc: for carbon copy, is closed with CF: followed by a list of names that seemed to have been included in the copy in some way.

Can you tell me what CF: means?

In this instance it must mean 'copy forward' to the list of names you see included, so that all recipients are informed of the exact same information. However, in my email programme, if I wish to send an email to several people simultaneously then I click the link that says CC. Nowadays, both CC and CF have come to mean the same thing.
