Business effectiveness

Hello

Could anyone familiar with marketing jargon explain to me how "business effectiveness" is to be understood in this sentence:

"The applicant must show sensitivity to political and cultural issues as well as technical and business effectiveness targets"

Any help is appreciated Emotion: smile

Now that I'm done rolling my eyes over the jargon, I think it may be that this means opportunities for improving processes, making things more efficient and effective. Let's say it means "opportunities for continuous improvements," since "CI" (Continuous Improvement) is another jargon phrase.

Thank you. At least, I get a sense of what it means, which is more than useful when you have to translate things into another language.
