There are several possibilities:
1) You misheard what she said.
2) She does not speak English fluently and used the wrong verb.
3) She is making a joke, as if the bus became sick (as is catch a cold, or catch the measles.)

It does sound as though she says caught, although one would expect it to be got.

my bus got a flat tyre. I usually just hear My bus got a flat.

It's a movie about Alan Turing set in Britain in WWII.
I'm glad Anon posted the question and the link, because now I'm watching it. I'm enjoying it. Unfortunately I'll have to pause it soon and finish watching it tomorrow

I watched this movie "The Imitation Game" lately and just googled the phrase(highlighted above) and I got here...
I did understand what she meant but never heard of that kind of phrase.
