burst into overwhelming complaining

My student wrote:

No sooner had the waiter come than Mary burst into overwhelming complaining. She roared so hard that her face was full of anger. Such an unprecedented behavior destroyed the perfect impression John had seen.

My suggestion:

No sooner had the waiter come than Mary burst out complaining overwhelingly. She roared so hard that her face was twisted. Such an uncommon behavior ruined the perfect impression John had of her.

If there is anything wrong, feel free to correct me. Thanks.
