Bursary Letter help

Hi, I needed help on writing a bursary application for my college. I have already written the letter and would like someone to look over it.

The letter goes a somethinglike this.. The reason I wanted to apply for this bursary because I am lacking fund for the school year due to shortage of income and increase cost from international program. I was only able to work part time during summer as a result of having to commute between home and school every Monday and Wednesday for summer school.
