Burned as Adjective?

Hi,

Can "burned" be used as an adjective, or is only "burnt" the adjective form, like in "burnt toast"?

In these sentences, is it technically correct to use burned as an adjective?

She ended up feeling a little less burned when he befriended her after rejecting her proposal.

Her left wrist was burned from baking cakes in the oven.

Yes. American English uses "burned" as the past tense of "burn", but uses "burnt" as the adjective form.

I believe that BrE and AmE are the same in this regard.
