"bump into" "come across" "run into"

I think all on them can be used when we are suddenly see or meet somebody. Would you please tell me what differences, even subtle, do they have?

youzouWhat about the "run into" and "bump into"? Do they have any difference? Even subtle differences.

I seen the following example of the use of the expression "come across" with people in several dictionaries:
"I came across my old college friend in the town today".
Is this example correct? Does it sound OK?

No, you did not. You actually did not answer my question. Not helpful.

Hi,

I think I did. But obviously you don't agree. I hope someone else will give you an answer you find more satisfactory, if you still want one.
