Bull's Eye

Is it okay to use either "bull's-eye" or "bull's eye" without the hyphen? For example:

"I don't want to be the bull's eye!"

Both forms are OK, but dictionaries use a hyphen, so I would go with that. The next time you're unsure about something like this, check a dictionary. com /
