Bullets and capitalisation

Hi,

Recently, I came across a problem with the marking scheme in my school.

My question is, " Should the letters of the first word written in point form be capitalised or non-capitalised?"

Eg.
Health problems include:
• diabetes
• obesity
• heart palpitations

Eg.
What to do:
• take a walk
• sleep well

Items in a list are normally not capitalised unless they start a sentence or are proper nouns.

And just to show that this is a matter of style and not grammar, I capitalize items in a bullet almost all the time.

So just be consistent. Don't use a list that starts with capitals in one section and then a list that starts with lower-case letters in the next.
