Anonymously means they don't want anyone to know who they are.

I don't even have a guess as to what "Pulled the bullets from the caskets." could mean (other than casket = coffin). Is there any more context that could shed light?

They are just talking about the man's father who is
evil and would keep his money no matter the cost and

They are saying that the donation was anonymous.

Perhaps (and this is just a guess) "pulled the bullets" means he caused their deaths, and is so greedy that he took the bullets to use again. Or, maybe the money was ill-gotten by their deaths, so he gave back a small amount.
