Bullet rotate or spin on itself?

Bullets tend to rotate on themselves to straighten their trajectory in the same like manner as arrows.

Bullets tend to spin on themselves to straighten their trajectory in the same like manner as arrows.

Also is there a synonym to "similarly to" that includes the word "like"? I thought I knew such an idiom, but I am not sure couldn't remember the exact phrase.

Arrows don't spin like bullets. I think you don't need "on themselves". Bullets don't tend to do that—they just do it.

  • Bullets do not do anything to straighten their trajectory because they have no volition.
  • Perhaps you were thinking of "in like manner": The spinning of a gyroscope keeps it in a constant orientation.

Perhaps you were thinking of "in like manner":

The spinning of a gyroscope keeps it in a constant orientation. In like manner, the spin of a bullet stabilizes its trajectory

The rifling on the interior of the gun barrel causes the bullet to spin when it is fired. This causes the bullet to travel along a straight line.
