00Very generally speaking, as few as possible. Ideally, the reader can hold them all in his mind to form an opinion about what you are talking about. I can do that with 5 or 6. I can't so it with 100.05002br

0 my purpose for these bullet points would be for a products page on a website0-

0 How many products are you offering?0-

0 atleast 35 that i know of... im sure there is more... but each product is going to have its own section naturally and there will be an overview tap with breif description/sales pitch and the some bullets at the bottom. I set a limit of 5 - 6 bullet but there are a couple guys figthing my limit and bout the only way to talk to these people is to get an professional opinion on the matter (of bul

0 There isn't a rule. If you are simply listing a word or phrase, then you can have more than if you are listing paragraphs with each bullet. 0-

0 so what you're saying is that if these guys decide they wanna list 20 bullets than thats ok? there isnt an intelligent limit to set to bullets?0-

0Well, I don't know how you made the leap from my saying "more" is okay to "20" is okay.02br

0 Hi,02br
00if you want another opinion, I would probably use bullet points for few items, say, 2 to 8 items. I would use a numbered list for more items. Then you can refer to every item by number, so even if you have a lot of items listed, a numbered list make them look more neatly arranged. That's just what I would do, but as GG said, there isn't any rule. 050010id1

0 sorry its been a bit since i replied but yeah i tried telling these guys we need to keep the bullets for each product down to 6 - 8 points... but if i am understanding right than there is no set standard.. if there is a completly logical reason for having alot of points than let it be so?0-

0Yes, you are correct: There is no set standard.02br
02br
00You have to go with what is "reasonable," which will vary from situation to situation.02br
02br
00I actually think three or four in each category is enough for "messages," but if you have 12 products to list, then you need 12 bullets to list them. 0-
