Bullet point items that contain multiple sentences

If a bullet contains multiple sentences, even though there are multiple implied subjects, a period is still required at the end isn't it?

Last time I asked this, another veteran user just said that it's a trend not to use any period, in order to prevent clustering.

I'm not really familiar with the protocol here, but I would suggest that logic and consistency should prevail. If what precedes the list is a completed sentence (with a period) you have a choice. If what precedes the list ends in a colon, use a semi-colon at the end of each bullet, whether it be a phrase or a complete sentence.
