Building/Apartment building/Apartment complex/Apartment block

She entered her building.

Is it enough to say building or should I say either of these: Apartment building, Apartment complex, Apartment block, or something else?

Her apartment is in the big city. Does that change anything? If yes, what would you use in that context?
