Building is built

Hello!

Could you help me, please?

It is possible to say: "This building was built in 1984"? Won't it sound awkward because of the two words with the same root? And if yes, what is the alternative way to express the same?

Thank you!

Maria D This building was built in 1984. This is fine for most purposes. If the building-built association bothers you, say "constructed" instead of "built".
