Build Capacity

Hi.

I Just want to check that I understand "build capacity" in this sentence right:

"The project will build capacity on the involvement of Displaced Youth with Disabilities (DYD) in sports."

Does "build capacity" here mean increase awareness?

Many thanks.

"To build capacity on something " is not standard English. I can't tell what it is supposed to mean. It sounds like insider jargon.

No. It's to add what is necessary to accommodate more people in the DYD sports program. In all likelihood it will mean acquiring more sports equipment.

No. It is not good English. I think they mean to increase the number of organizations and people that are involved in or committed to their project.
