Budget range

Please how do you say this?

This house is twice what I budgeted "for". I can't afford to buy this place.

Is budget range natural to say?

This is out of our budget/price range.

thanks

The mortgage payments for this house will take half of our take-home pay. That is twice as much as is recommended by financial advisors.
