Bubbled through the oil

Hi

In order to produce fats and oils which do not turn rancid, manufacturers subject them to enormous heat - anything up to 1000F. Hydrogen is bubbled through the oil and forced under pressure into the boiling fat molecules.

Does it mean that during the process of heating hydrogen is released from the oil and gets into the boiling fat molecules?
Is it what it says?
