Brush me up, will you?
Hi, all,
I'm a freelance translator, and now I'm negotiating with one of my potential clients. And this is what my response will look like. Will you kindly proofread it or brush up?
(my point is $5 is not fair enough since I charge an rate per word basis)
The client says:
Although I'm not going to charge for it this time, I'm afraid that I would have to charge $0.02/word as additional fee from next time, if we work with text files. My concern is that if the volume got larger and the text included small strings like the ones from the apps, it would be harder to handle right all the strings with text files.
And one more thing I should've mentions earlier: unless the applications are quite simple, I basically download them, and thus, I charge for them. But please understand that, this gives me basic knowledge of the apps and helps me translate the text precisely. (If you can give me a promo code please let me know beforehand)

I would actually also have preferred if you could just fill out the text file I sent you. It is a little bit easier for me to work with than Excel/Numbers. It you want a little bit extra for doing that (e.g. $5), then that would be better. Otherwise Excel is ok.FROM HERE TO:
