A question is stilling lingering in my mind. Since Amy has no idea that Bruce has a crush on her, then why couldn't we say that Bruce is
Amy's "secret lover?" He is blown over his feet for secretly and crazily loves Amy. What about "Amy's secret admirer?"

A crush does NOT mean that he is head over heels in love. It means he has a secret little fondness for her. If he crazily loves her, it's way beyond a crush.

A "secret lover" is someone you are having an affair with. If you had a secret lover, you would know it. So would she. Your wife would not. I would not.

Actually, the person may well know that he has a crush on her. She may find it amusing, annoying, a situation for pity, or quite flattering. Or she may be wholly ignorant of it. My daughter is well aware that one of her classmates has a bit of a crush on her. She just hopes it will pass quickly so they can be friends again without it being awkward. There may be other boys who have a crush on her that she doesn't know about.

EDIT: Oh, it just occurred to me: You mean the phrase "secret admirire." A secret admirer sends little gifts or notes, but does not reveal who it is. If I got back from lunch and found a red rose on my desk, my coworker would wink at me and say it looks like I have a secret admirer.
