'Brought it me' or 'brought it to me'

Can i use the expression, "and brought it me" and "and brought it to me"? Are they both correct? And please, if you can, can you give me the explication of it. Thank you

In American English, use "brought it to me". I have a feeling the other choice may be proper in British English.

You can say.....
a) 'brought me it'
b) 'gave me it'

b is more common and therefore sounds more natural, but a is fine too. And that construction can be used with other verbs too.
c) He sold me his old car.
d) He taught me that.
