Bronchial tubes

Hi,

Can I use ‘airways’ instead of ‘bronchial tubes’?

“Our dog had an allergic reaction to a vaccine and the doctor told us that her aiways were a bit contracted as a result of it. That explains the heavy breathing.”

Thank you.

Technically speaking, the bronchial tubes are one segment of the airways. The airways include the nasal passages and trachea as well as the smaller vessels.
