Broke

English is not my first language so please patient.

If I was speaking about a stick of rock in two peieces. Do it say it is broke or it is broken and why is it that way>?

"Break" is an irregular verb.
The past is "broke"
The past participle (3rd part) is "broken."

There are some dialects (non-standard) where some speakers will use "broke" instead of "broken."

Note that "broke" as an adjective usually means having no money.
