brochure

The brochure sitting in my house belonged to John. It was a motivational guide. It contained some kinds of religion credos, which interested me. One time, I saw John read the first page then he gave up because it was very hard to absorb the material. If one wanted to read credos in it, one would have to think very hard to understand it. It was as if you needed to analyze each word carefully. So, I suggested him to buy some books to help him to understand them. As he began to read, he began to feel it was too mystifying. It seemed there was a turning point for him. Suddenly he began to get his confidence back. The brochure taught him how to stay positive, told him that did not let defeat give up his dream. He thought the brochure was full of spiritual. He was amazed there was so much impact in his life after a few pages. John began to carry the brochure wherever he went. Sometimes, he cited the words to me as if I had thought he was really a nut. Anyway, I didn't want to offend him so I pretended to listen what he talked about. As time went by, I could not stand him talking the credos. Our friendship began to drift way and we did not see each other as we used to be.
