Broaden minds

A. Singaporian goverment sponsors for excellent students to study abroad to broaden their minds.

B. Singaporian goverment sponsors for outstanding students studying abroad to widen their knowledge.

Are these sentences ok to say?

Thank you very much, Teachers

both "broaden the mind" and "widen one's knowledge" are correct. You can use either to study or studying (but that'll change the meaning of the sentence) and substitute outstanding with excellent (although these words also have different meaning) and your sentences'll be correct... but you should write: sponsors fo r exellent students or sponsors for outstanding student

There is a mistake in the previous post. I don't know why it is but strikeouts aren't shown in my browserl(I striked for through in my previous post but it isn't reflected at all. And as I'm unable to edit my last post to make the situation clear I wrote this one).

I tried to write that it is correct to write:

sponsors exellent students

Hello beopro.

I think neither sentence is correct.

First, you need to say "The Singaporian government" (note spelling of goverNment)

The word "for" is unnecessary, because it is implicit in the chosen verb, "sponsors". If instead you had said something like "The Singaporian government pays for excellent students etc." then it would be right.
