Is this correct please?
I think 2 is wrong.
1 It seems the more he paints the better he gets.
2 It seems he gets better the longer he paints.

Which is correct please? Does it make sense?
The longer the stretches of time he paints for, the better his paintings get.
The longer stretches of time he paints for, the better his paints get.
