British Independent Film Awards last night

I've put an asterisk beside the eventual winner.
All are British (or mainly British) movies, with the exception of the Foreign Film section which includes foreign films such as Crash, Broken Flowers, etc.
All are indies, of course.

I've often wondered about this very thing. I think it's explained by the fact that peers vote for peers, so four or five hundred directors might well vote
