Hi;

The nationalities British and England are the same?

Do they refer to the same place?

Could please someone explain the difference?

...and there are many folks from Scotland and Wales who would also choose not to be called "British!" I was

There is a man who used to send postcards to his friends in Scotland and instead of the Uk, or Scotland he would write North Britain. I believe he was fully aware that the Scottish people didn't like that. Sensitive political correctness was not high on his priorities.
