British accent

I'm an asian who speaks with american accent since I know how to speak english, but recently I find british accent quite attractive and I'm learning it. but I can't distinguish those accent in different regions such as south-east london accent, cockney, posh , oxford accent or london.. I would like to know how to recognize those accent and I wanna just pick one and focus on it. I believe it would be rediculous If I mix two accents together. Thanks for helping me out in advance.

When learning any foreign language, immersion is the best way to pick it up. One of my high school classmates spent his junior year in Australia, and when he returned, we had problems understanding him some time. I doubt that he tried to change his way of speaking when in Australia, but he did have to work on getting his Yankee accent back.
