Bristle vs stubble

Talking about short stiff hair. Do bristle and stubble mean the same? Is there any subtle difference?

Hi I don't think there is a lot of difference. If you wanted to be subtle, then I suppose I'd say that stubble is what you have if you neglect to shave for a day or two - it looks rather careless On the other hand, if you choose to wear a well-groomed, short-cropped beard, then that would be bristle Dave
