Bring/take 2

If I'm at McDonald's picking up food at the "Take Out" for my child at home, am I taking or bringing the food to him? I say taking.

If he calls me on the phone, he would ask, "Dad, are you bringing the food?"

Am I correct on both counts?

Hi,

If I'm at McDonald's picking up food at the "Take Out" for my child at home, am I taking or bringing the food to him? I say taking. 'Bringing' seems more natural to me. But I wouldn't say 'taking' is wrong.
