bring up child

Is this correct English?
Is this a sentence one would say to someone else when they have given there child a bad upbringing?

Are these natural?
1 You see how you brought up your child. How can you allow your kid to do such a thing.

2 You gave your child a bad upbringing.

Thanks

A doting parent may become quite defensive. I've found that moms and dads don't like having their parenting skills criticized, even when justified.
